UK RYA PRACTICAL COURSES
RYA Yacht Cruising & Power Boat Practicals in the UK are offered in association with our training partner, 1st Scotsail Training, operating out of Largs Marina. The Clyde Coast provides an ideal training ground for the RYA Practicals, with no tidal restrictions (access at all states of tide), as well as relatively sheltered waters allowing us to sail in all but the most extreme conditions.
Scotsail training boats are modern high quality, vessels kept to the standards of well maintained privately owned yachts - definately not a typical "dog eared" sailing school boats!
These are yachts you would be proud to own!

See the ScotSail website at :

MEDITERRANEAN RYA PRACTICAL COURSES
As an alternative to the UK, why not consider something "foreign"?
Gibraltar provides an interesting venue for some Mediterranean style sailing, but importantly still qualifies as "tidal". Our training partner in Gibraltar, Trafalgar Sailing, operate from Marina Bay conveniently located just a short walk from the airport (which is quiet!). Low cost airlines operate schedules throughout the year helping to keep the travel cost to a minimum. Gibraltar Bay offers 24hr access with the opportunity of cruising the Spanish Coast as well as going "Transcontinental" from Europe to Africa.
During August 2013 we're aiming to take a yacht from Gibraltar on a 2 week voyage, with the specific aim of building log book experience and mileage - the target is at least 500 miles, including overnight passages and a watchkeeping routine.
PLACES LIMITED SO PLEASE CALL FOR DETAILS - 07765 250000
Gibraltar provides a perfect option for extending and widening your yachting experience - different mooring situations, different weather, different port procedures, and very different traffic uncluding, (usually) a Straits crossing.
And................the season runs for pretty much 12 months of the year, so perfect for getting your practicals done in the UK Autumn & Winter.
