The best cruising grounds in the UK!

The Clyde offers the perfect location for RYA training courses with a superb mix of over 20 different locations we regularly cruise to. There are some 10 marinas and another 10 overnight moorings all offering a snug overnight berth as well as excellent shoreside facilities.

It's a great place for practicing your pilotage skills with a wide variety of scenery, traffic conditions, buoyage, and lighthouses.

RYA Practical Courses are all about packing in as much variety as possible within the 5 days, and in the Clyde, within a 15 to 20 mile radius we have everything one could wish for.

In a typical day we can often work in a lunchtime stop and over the 5 days can experience a wide range of berthing situations, and can easily achieve our target of a minimum of 100 miles and 4 night hours.

Even on a damp or windy day there's always something we can so no time need be wasted.

Last but by no means least it's a beautiful place, and full of wildlife. Sea mammals are a regular site and in the later summer Basking Sharks are regular visitors. ps they don't bite!

We're mindful that despite the fact that you're on a course, sailing is "supposed to be fun" so we aim to help you see a lovely part of the country, and very definately one of the very best cruising grounds in the UK.
